Interbuild is building this project on the Triple Living site between the Scheldt river and the Palace of Justice for Stadsontwikkeling Antwerpen Zuid NV (City Development South-Antwerp NV).
The project includes 77 flats, 5 commercial spaces and 2 levels below ground.
More living space and interaction between the indoors and outdoors
The above-ground section consists of 2 buildings. Building 1a, designed by Poponcini & Lootens and building 1b, designed by Atelier Kempe Thill. Both buildings look different, but together they make for a beautiful whole. The external façade of building 1a was finished with white architectural concrete panels and cantilevered balconies combined with colourful glass colourbel panels and dark grey window profiles. The outer façade of building 1b was finished with anthracite-grey, architectural concrete columns and panels, combined with bronze window profiles.
Both buildings take the notion of ‘bigger & cheaper’ to heart and enhance the interaction between indoor & outdoor living space by making the living space bigger. This is made possible by non-insulated sliding windows on the balconies, which in the off-season significantly enlarge the existing living space.
Vorsselmans is realising a share of around 4,000m² of aluminium joinery in this project with a total value of around €2 million.
