The architecture of the building was developed on the foundation of an existing building, to which three floors were added. The cladding of the old, outer façade, however, had to give way to an impressive front façade in white Marbella stone. The large sliding windows and terraces in blue stone give the building a look that is both spectacular and timeless. The rear façade will have new balconies offering breathtaking views of the Brussels skyline.
The elegance of the condor was a source of inspiration for the designers of the residence. The building’s size and aerodynamics pay homage to America’s largest bird of prey.
The project consists of a complete renovation, resulting in flats on all 7 floors above the Guldenvlies gallery. The existing building will also be raised 2 storeys and the front and rear façades will be replaced.
