It will provide new outpatient facilities, day treatments and a collaborative space for clinical researchers to accelerate cancer diagnosis and treatment for patients.

Project

The Oak Cancer Centre will bring together more than 400 researchers from The Royal Marsden’s Sutton and Chelsea sites in a building designed to encourage collaboration and accelerate the development of new cancer treatments. The name is in recognition of the Oak Foundation, which has donated £ 25 million towards the cost of this new centre.

Sustainability

Sustainability is paramount in all work on the Oak Cancer Centre. The building was specifically designed to meet the BREEAM certification model for sustainability—from the initial project design and materials to the construction process itself.

 

This building will literally be life-changing to those who enter it.

Did you know?

Prince William laid the first stone of the Royal Marsden Oak Cancer Centre. He has been president of this hospital for more than 13 years.
